Teams

Teams are organizer-owned roster groups. Use them when you play as a squad that is not the same as a club. Players from different clubs can sit on the same team, and a player can belong to more than one team.

Clubs stay venue and affiliation. A player still has at most one club. A team is the list you pick from when inviting people to an event.

Create a team

  • Open Teams in the desktop navigation, or follow Group players into teams on the Players page
  • Click New Team
  • Enter a name and sport
  • Check the players who belong on that roster
  • Save

Each team name must be unique on your account. Membership is replaced on every save: the checked players become the full roster.

Use a team on an event

  • Create or edit an event
  • Choose the sport
  • Optionally pick a Home Club (venue / broadcast)
  • Optionally pick a Team (invite roster)
  • After the event is created, Select Players to Ping shows only that team's players

If you leave Team empty, the ping list is still every player for that sport.

You cannot invite someone who is not on the selected team. Add them to the team first, or clear the team on the event.

Clubs vs teams

  • Club — where someone belongs, and the audience for Broadcast to Club
  • Team — the group you are playing as for this event, used to filter invites

They are independent. A mixed-club Saturday team can play at a public club venue.

Public API

See Public API for `GET|POST /teams` and `GET|PATCH|DELETE /teams/:id`. Attach `teamId` when creating or updating an event.
