Getting Started with PlayerPing


Welcome to PlayerPing! This guide will help you get started with managing your sports events and players.


What is PlayerPing?


PlayerPing is a comprehensive sports event management platform that helps you:

  • Manage your player roster
  • Create and schedule events
  • Send invitations via SMS, Email, or WhatsApp
  • Track RSVPs and responses
  • Rate players after events
  • Organize players into clubs

Creating Your Account


Step 1: Register


  • Navigate to the PlayerPing registration page
  • Enter your email address
  • Choose a secure password
  • Click "Register" to create your account

Step 2: Log In


  • Go to the login page
  • Enter your email and password
  • Click "Log In"

You'll be redirected to your dashboard after successful login.


Dashboard Overview


After logging in, you'll see the main dashboard with quick access to:


  • Manage Players - Add, edit, and organize your player roster
  • Upcoming Events - View and manage your scheduled events

The dashboard provides a central hub for all your event management activities.




The top navigation bar includes:


  • Home - Return to the dashboard
  • Players - Access player management
  • Events - View and create events
  • Settings - Configure your account and preferences
  • Support - Get help and contact support

Mobile Navigation


On mobile devices, you'll see a bottom navigation bar with quick access to:

  • Home
  • Players
  • Events
  • Settings

Your First Steps


1. Add Players


Before creating events, you'll want to add players to your roster:


  • Click on "Manage Players" from the dashboard or navigate to Players in the menu
  • Fill in the player form:
  • Full Name (required)
  • Email (optional but recommended)
  • Phone Number (required)
  • Gender (Male/Female)
  • Sport (required)
  • Club (optional)
  • Click "Add Player"

2. Create Your First Event


Once you have players added:


  • Navigate to Events from the menu
  • Click "Create Event"
  • Fill in the event details:
  • Date and time
  • Location
  • Sport type
  • Required number of men and women
  • Optional: Select a home club
  • Optional: Enable time proposals
  • Click "Create Event"

3. Invite Players


After creating an event:


  • Open the event details page
  • Select players you want to invite
  • Click "Ping Selected Players" to send invitations

Understanding the Interface


Status Indicators


Throughout the application, you'll see various status indicators:


  • OPEN - Event is open for RSVPs
  • CONFIRMED - Event is confirmed
  • YES - Player confirmed attendance (green badge)
  • NO - Player declined (red badge)
  • PENDING - Player hasn't responded yet (yellow badge)

Player Ratings


Players may display star ratings (⭐) showing their average rating from past events. This helps you identify reliable players when organizing events.


Account Settings


Accessing Settings


Click on Settings in the navigation menu to access:


  • Credits - View your credit balance and purchase more
  • Notification Preferences - Configure SMS, Email, and WhatsApp settings

Credits System


PlayerPing uses a credit system for notifications:


  • Email notifications - Free
  • SMS notifications - 1 credit per player
  • WhatsApp notifications - 1 credit per player (coming soon)

New accounts start with 50 credits. You can purchase more credits in the Settings page.
