Game Results
After an event, record what actually happened on the court, pitch, or pool. PlayerPing adapts the scorecard to the event sport and lets you add as many games as that session had.
When results are available
Open a past event. A Game Results section appears above Rate Players.
You can still edit results later if a score was entered incorrectly.
How many games?
An event is the session. Games are the contests inside it:
- Tennis, badminton, table tennis — a social or tournament night may have four, eight, or more matches. Use Add 4 matches or Add 8 matches, then add extras if needed.
- Soccer, basketball, hockey, rugby, baseball, softball, cricket — usually one fixture. Record that score; add another game only if the event had more than one.
- Volleyball — set scores for the match.
- Swimming — one race/heat, or add more heats.
Remove any game you added by mistake, then Save results.
Sport-specific scores
Racket sports (tennis, badminton, table tennis)
- Choose Singles or Doubles per match
- Pick players from those who confirmed (YES)
- Enter set scores (for example 6–4, 6–3)
- Save
The winner is calculated from sets won. The same player can appear in several matches in the same event.
Team sports (soccer / football, basketball, and similar)
- Add the game (defaults to one)
- Name the sides — Home is your side (uses the event team name when set); Away can be an opponent who is not in PlayerPing
- Enter the score (goals, points, or runs, depending on the sport)
- Optionally tick which of your confirmed players were on each side
- Save
Draws are allowed for these sports.
Volleyball
Enter set scores for Home vs Away, the same way as other set-based sports, with team side labels.
Swimming
Add a race, then for each swimmer enter finishing place and optional time.
Other sports
Uses a simple two-sided score. Label the sides and enter points.
Players who can be selected
Only players who responded YES can be attached to a game. Opponents who are not on your roster are recorded with a side name instead of a player.
Tournaments
If the event belongs to a tournament, completed games roll up on the tournament page:
- Player record (wins–losses, plus draws when they happen)
- Team record for team-format games (home side is your team)
Attendance and star ratings are unchanged.
Saving
Results save when you click Save results. Adding or removing games in the editor is not stored until you save.
Clearing every game and saving removes the recorded results for that event.
